I took photographs of the Hercules Boys' Water Polo Team last weekend. While the boys were warming up, I decided to practice photographing the other game for the meantime.
I really liked how these photographs turned out. I wish this person was at Hercules High so I can put it in our school’s yearbook ): Oh well, at least this gave me an opportunity to post it up on my blog!
In the first photograph, the Berkeley student is grabbing for the ball. Behind him, a hand is spotted getting ready to grab after him.
The other action shot beneath the first photo is also of the same Berkeley player. He is shooting the ball at the goalie, which is seen in the lower right corner of the photo and a hand ready to block the shoot. Behind the Berkeley player is a hand swimming towards him. It is not very clear, but the white water is shown of the swimmer behind the Berkeley player.
I had a lot of fun taking photos of the water polo games. This is my first year actually trying to take pictures for the water polo team(s).
These pictures came out really good. I also love working with cameras , so I'm glad to read a blog about someone writing upon the same thing I admire.
ReplyDeleteHey Annika,
ReplyDeleteI love how your photographs are ALWAYS amazing. It's great to see how much you have improved from last year. I am looking forward to working with you this year.
Annika,
ReplyDeleteThese are amazing pictures. I love how you were able to capture the moment and the determination on the players face. Amazing! I also admire how you got the pictures to come out so clear despite it being an action shot.
Wow it's like I can almost feel the intensity in these photo's. Great job! I can't wait to see more pictures as you keep improving.

ReplyDeleteHi Annika,
ReplyDeleteNice photos. I totally agree with the comments above about the intensity of these photos. I think these pictures are really good. Are you planning to be a professional photographer (just curious)? I am looking forward to see some of your master piece/awesome photos.
Annika,
ReplyDeleteI really like the pictures you feature in your posts. Like they say, a picture is worth a thousand words! I would really love to hear what you think of these pictures from an emotional standpoint. As a photographer, I imagine that each picture conveys something different than the one before it. I want to know what goes on in Annika's mind when she takes and looks at these photographs!
I like how the guy was from Berkeley instead of Hercules, but nonetheless good timing. You captured an intense moment. Looking forward to seeing more pictures.
ReplyDeletewater polo seems very interesting g it also appears to be difficult sport Ive never played or even watched a game before. NICE PICTURES
ReplyDeleteI like the first shot, I can really feel all the intense action going on. I wish you had taken a few more! What I'd really like to see is a review of your own photography, maybe a just a few things that you like or dislike about your photos.
ReplyDeleteI think you took very nice photos. Water polo does indeed look like its very fun to play, and it is made to look even more epic from the photos that were taken.
ReplyDeleteThese are awesome shots!
ReplyDeleteI love how the 2nd photo is sort of a continuation of the first. You've really done a good job at taking these action shots.
